Derek & Heather

We got engaged in our recent trip to Portugal during the first week of May after dating for a total of 3 and a half years.  I proposed in the heart of Porto along the Douro River.  I was a little bummed that it was a little cold and rainy but I was super anxious to ask her and it was killing me to wait!  We were strolling down by the river and the rain stopped and the clouds started to part, I figured that was the time to do it!  It was a great moment because we had the whole river bank to ourselves with an amazing view.  As the pictures show, it was an amazing location and the perfect trip.  She’s an amazing person, and I’m extremely lucky she said yes!
