We went up for a hike on Saturday morning in Little Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake and I told her we were going to have a picnic. The hike led up to an alpine lake with a great Mountain View (the peak is called Pfeifferhorn). One of my friends went up about 30 min before us with a camera and a bottle of champagne. As soon as we picked the spot for our picnic, I saw the secret wave from my buddy who was ready to take pictures. I kind of threw the picnic stuff to the side and grabbed her hands and started to give my little spiel and Elizabeth started saying “what are you doing. What are you doing!” 

I got on a knee and asked her and she said yes! The ring fit perfectly and we had our picnic and celebrated.
